Uniform Policy

At Hunter Classical Christian School, our uniform dress code deepens our sense of community while allowing students some creativity in their choice of attire. In addition to daily casual uniform attire, each student will have a dress uniform to be worn every Wednesday and for performances and other special occasions. Please read the uniform policy for specific uniform details and requirements.

Daily Chapel and christian worship

Hunter students and faculty begin each day gathered together in chapel. We believe it is important to teach children to order their affections and turn their attention daily to God who created them, loves them and desires to be known by them. We perform the Daily Offices, worship in song, learn about the Bible, and pray together before the Lord. Each week on Friday, the individual classes recite together a Bible passage they have learned. Parents are welcome to join us for Morning Prayer on Wednesdays and are encouraged to attend Chapel each day!

Hunter Traditions

Each year our school community looks forward to celebrating traditions together. They include: in November, Harvest Helpers – a Thanksgiving chapel celebration and luncheon; in December, our traditional Christmas service of Lessons & Carols – led by Hunter’s student body; in the spring semester students participate in the Spelling Bee and later the Herculean Challenge (field day). These traditions meaningfully gather Hunter together in service, worship, celebration, achievement, and fun.

Parents’ League

At Hunter all families serve the school together as members of Parents’ League. The purpose of the Parents’ League is to promote the welfare of our children, their families, and the school. It strives to ensure that the school and the parents are in close relationship and mutually supportive of one another by assisting the school with communication and special events.

Parents’ League Activities

  • Coordinating and/or hosting parent gatherings

  • Faculty appreciation efforts

  • Coordinating and volunteering at special events (Open Houses, Harvest Helpers, Lessons & Carols, Blues & Greens Gala, etc.)

  • Volunteering for hot lunch distribution

  • Support and welcome new students and families as they transition into our community

  • General support of the efforts of the faculty and teachers in nurturing and educating our children in a healthy and safe environment

Parent involvement is an integral and special part of Hunter’s success. Classical education highlights the participation of families together for the growth and development of the child. Parents’ League certainly plays a role in these efforts.

For more information about Parents’ League at Hunter Classical Christian School, please contact Katie Green and Courtney Moorefield, Parents’ League Co-Chairs for the 2023-24 school year.

Grandparents
& Supporters

At Hunter, our desire to challenge the mind, nourish the spirit, and develop the whole child is best accomplished through the support of the whole family. We believe family to be of utmost importance to the growth and development of a child, and more importantly, part of God’s design for our Christian lives. The generational support of grandparents to our students, parents, and teachers is recognized as a valuable resource to our school community. Therefore, at Hunter, we are continually seeking ways to actively involve and engage grandparents in the programs of the school. Our hope is that we can grow a strong and vibrant grandparent community with activities for you to participate in throughout the year. While we appreciate the support of our grandparents, we realize support can come from many places. Our service opportunities are open to all.
