Robert Foster grew up in the Midwest and, for a few years, on the mission field. He and his family moved to the Richmond area in 2013 and fell in love with all Virginia has to offer. He teaches in person and online at the collegiate level, he has run his own academic copyediting freelance company, and he has been involved for many years in Classical Conversations, homeschooling his three children with his wife Carmen.

Robert received his MA from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and his PhD in Religious Studies from Marquette University. His monograph, Renaming Abraham’s Children: Election, Ethnicity, and the Interpretation of Scripture in Romans 9, was published by Mohr Seibeck. He enjoys book clubs, bike riding, travel, and, above all, teaching.
