Hybrid Students at Hunter
The Hunter School offers homeschooling families the option to enroll in one or two courses at Hunter to supplement homeschool instruction. We value partnership with mission-aligned homeschooling families who wish to enroll in a specific course of study in our classical Christian program. This program is designed to maximize parental options and meet the educational needs of your student within a community of families dedicated to classical Christian schooling.
In the Lower School (1st-6th), this program for part-time students is called LAMPS, an acronym of the offered courses. Available courses are: Latin, Art, Music, Physical Education, and Science Exploration. The schedule for each course varies depending on the grade level of the student and which courses you are interested in. Courses meet either once, twice, or three times weekly.
In the Upper School (7th-12th), this program is called Hybrid at Hunter, and offers courses in literature, theology, mathematics, logic, Latin, science, history, and music. Please see the chart below for course descriptions. Enrolled students may participate in field trips, class trips, and school events as designated.
The course fee varies between $495 and $995 depending on grade level and course selected. Please inquire here for details on courses and tutors and review the application process below.
The Application Process

• STEP 3: Parent Interview
• STEP 4: Acceptance & Enrollment
The application process and requirements are the same for those wishing to enroll at Hunter, whether as a full-time or part-time student. Please see details below regarding admissions requirements.
Step 1: Student Application
We are thrilled to be accepting applications for part-time students in grades K–6 for the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year and for the full 2026–2027 school year. You can apply here or use the button below.

Please contact us at admissions@hunterclassicalchristian.org if you have any questions!
Step 2: Schedule Student Assessment
As a part of the online admissions application, you will register for a student readiness assessment screening date.
In order to schedule a student assessment you must do so within the online application. Students seeking entry as part-time students will undergo an academic screening, reviewing readiness in math, reading, writing, and grammar at the appropriate grade level. Readiness Testing is done on a case-by-case basis and coordinated by Lauren Karidis, who can be reached here: admissions@hunterclassicalchristian.org
Step 3: Parent Interview
We look forward to discussing what Parent Partnership means at Hunter – At Hunter, our desire to challenge the mind, nourish the spirit, and develop the whole child is best accomplished through the support of the whole family.
The partnership we share with parents is built upon mutual respect and a common goal to educate our students with Christ at the forefront of all learning. The family interview will allow parents an opportunity to connect with the administration, learn more, and ask questions. As a part of the application process you will schedule this important time together.
Step 4: Acceptance and Enrollment
Upon a student’s acceptance to HCCS, a letter will be sent to the family along with the school covenant and an enrollment contract. The signed school covenant and the enrollment contract must be returned along with a deposit by the date stated in the acceptance letter.
Tuition payments begin in June and may be made in one, two, or eleven payments.
A sibling discount is offered for each younger sibling of a current student. When one child in a family attends HCCS, the second receives a 10% discount off the full tuition; the third receives a 20% discount, the fourth a 30% discount; etc. Details are outlined in the tuition section below.
Parent Testimonial for Hybrid at Hunter
“We are so appreciative of the Hunter LAMPS program. Our son has participated in Science Exploration and Art class and it was a lovely supplement to our homeschool week. He received expert teaching and sweet friendships. Even though he came and went as a homeschooler, he was always made to feel apart of the Hunter fabric. The children and teachers knew him by name, delighted in his presence and joyfully welcomed him each week. It is a wonderful way to supplement your homeschool coursework and be apart of a special community. I feel like the Hunter School is a wonderful extension of everything we loved about homeschooling!”
