At Hunter, children are known, challenged, and formed through a joyful classical Christian education that cultivates the head, heart, and hands. We believe education is about more than the accumulation of knowledge; it is the formation of young people who learn to think deeply, love what is good, beautiful, and true, and live with wisdom, virtue, and purpose.
At the heart of a Hunter education is Christian formation. Through prayer, Scripture, worship, song, service, discipline, and habits ordered toward the love of God and neighbor, we seek to nurture students whose faith shapes both who they are and how they live.
We pair this formation with classical academic seriousness. Students build strong foundations through a curriculum rooted in great books, mathematics, science, language, logic, memory, and careful expression. Our time-tested methods and meaningful expectations challenge students to pursue excellence and develop the intellectual habits that will serve them throughout their lives.
Just as importantly, our students are known and supported. Small class sizes allow teachers and school leaders to invest deeply in each child and build meaningful relationships with students and families. We believe the education of a child is a shared calling, and we value the partnership between school, church, and home.
Formation also extends beyond the classroom. Through music, art, physical formation, nature study, practical work, and stewardship, students engage their head, heart, and hands and experience the disciplined joy of making and doing.
