Mrs. Lauren Karidis earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Longwood University and her master’s degree in Multimedia Journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University. After graduating from VCU and deciding not to pursue a career in journalism, Lauren returned to Longwood University to work in the Office of Admissions. Over the past 14 years, she has had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles, all while discovering just how much she loves working with students and families through the admissions process.

Lauren is excited to bring that passion to The Hunter School, where she looks forward to getting to know prospective families and partnering with parents as they consider a Christ-centered education for their children. She especially enjoys helping families feel welcomed, informed, and cared for as they navigate the admissions process.

Outside of school, Lauren enjoys playing American Mahjongg, serving as a volunteer at Hope Church, eating chips and salsa, and, most of all, making memories with her family. Lauren and her husband, AJ, have three children: Hunter students Claire and Caroline, and future Hunter student Luke.
