Mrs. Tonya Cox earned her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from The University of Alabama. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education, also from The University of Alabama. She later earned a second Master of Arts degree in Reading Education from the University of West Florida.
Tonya has taught first, third, and fourth grades. Her calling to teach stems from her love of children and the enjoyment she finds in seeing them learn. She was a stay at home mom to her two children. She also worked at her church as a Childhood Coordinator for 9 years, in the nursery, and teaching Sunday school to high school students.
Tonya loves royal blue, reading, sewing, cooking, going to the beach, coffee, and spending time with family and friends. She and her husband Al have two children, Hannah Faith and Tripp.
